1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on UNYFO, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users including students, alumni, and any person accessing UNYFO through any means.

2. Eligibility

UNYFO requires a valid university email address ending in .edu to access campus features including Commons, Match, Study, and Chats. Career Suite features are available to users with any valid email address. You must be at least 13 years of age to use UNYFO. By signing up you confirm that you are eligible under these requirements.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at contact@unyfo.com if you believe your account has been compromised. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use UNYFO to harass, bully, threaten, or harm other users. You agree not to post content that is obscene, defamatory, fraudulent, or illegal. You agree not to impersonate other students or institutions. You agree not to use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or scrape UNYFO. You agree not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform.

5. Anonymous Features

Commons allows anonymous participation using your major and year as a display name. While your identity is not shown to other users in anonymous rooms, UNYFO retains the ability to identify accounts that violate these terms in order to enforce them. Anonymity does not grant permission to violate these terms or applicable law.

6. Content

You retain ownership of content you post on UNYFO. By posting content you grant UNYFO a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content within the platform. You are solely responsible for the content you post. UNYFO reserves the right to remove any content that violates these terms without prior notice.

7. AI Features

UNYFO uses AI to power the Study Buddy, resume builder, job scoring, and other features. AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only. UNYFO does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any specific purpose. You should verify all AI-generated resume content and career advice before relying on it.

8. Career Suite

Job listings displayed on UNYFO are sourced from third-party APIs and public job boards. UNYFO does not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or legitimacy of any job listing. UNYFO does not facilitate actual job applications on behalf of users. Users are responsible for verifying job listings and submitting applications directly to employers.

9. Privacy

Your use of UNYFO is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. Please review the Privacy Policy at unyfo.com/privacy to understand our practices.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of UNYFO including but not limited to the design, code, text, and graphics are the exclusive property of UNYFO Inc. and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on UNYFO without explicit written permission.

11. Disclaimers

UNYFO is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UNYFO Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to use UNYFO in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred US dollars, whichever is less.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the date at the bottom of this page or by sending an email to the address associated with your account. Continued use of UNYFO after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of UNYFO shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
